Course on Resilience is a free program supporting primary and secondary schools in strengthening the psychological resilience of children and young people. It was developed based on many years of experience of the School with Class Foundation and responds to contemporary challenges faced by the younger generation, such as loneliness, stress, anxiety, and overload of responsibilities.
In the program, we focus on what truly builds resilience and on areas where schools can have a real impact: relationships, curiosity, a sense of safety, emotional awareness, mindfulness, and responsibility. Together with teachers, we work to create a school environment that genuinely supports students’ psychological resilience. We provide schools with practical educational materials to support this process.
In Course on Resilience, we look beyond individual classrooms and schools. We believe that young people’s psychological resilience does not develop in isolation — it requires a safe and supportive environment. That is why, together with teachers, students, parents, and local institutions, we build resilient communities.
A resilient community is one in which:
everyone feels noticed and valued,
relationships are based on trust and dialogue,
children and young people have space to express themselves and make decisions,
difficult emotions and crises are not taboo topics,
schools cooperate with local organizations and institutions.
We support schools in designing activities that bring people together, strengthen a sense of purpose and belonging, and help the entire school community — students, teachers, and parents — cope with the challenges of the modern world.
Course on Resilience is distinguished by:
an approach to building resilience grounded in solid scientific research,
free tools and training that support the implementation of resilience-building initiatives in schools,
mentoring support from experienced facilitators who help schools plan and carry out their activities effectively.
The program reminded us that school is not only a place for transferring knowledge, but above all a space for relationships, cooperation, and mutual support. It is crucial to remember how important it is to build a safe and open environment where students and teachers feel noticed and heard, and where respect and support are mutual.
