The world around us is changing very fast. The subjects that we used to talk about 2 or 3 years ago are out of date now, new subjects arise every year or even month. We are still dealing with the consequences of the pandemics, the war in Ukraine concerns all of us, schools struggle with new problems. At the same time, the pace of technological development goes far beyond our expectations.

Be Internet Awesome Conference takes into account all these changes. We meet online to talk to students, teachers and parents from Central and Eastern Europe about the challenges that the modern world poses. In the face of such dynamic changes it is the values that are the most important – the values are the foundations that provide stability in a world full of health, cultural and technological turmoil. We believe that Be Internet Awesome values: being smart, alert, strong, kind and brave should be developed at home as well as in schools. At the same time we observe that there are other issues that concern kids, parents and teachers: multicultural surroundings, disinformation and digital wellbeing. This is why the conference will be devoted not only to the BIA values, but also the three mentioned challenges.

It is an exceptional conference not only because of the content, but also because of its innovative structure. It is composed of online lessons directed at students and their teachers, Edustories talks and workshops for adults and a quiz which offers education through entertainment and thus is suitable for every person. Whole day the participants will learn, discuss and have fun together. An important element of such meetings are relations so we encourage you to participate actively, comment, ask questions and share the results of your work with us. The conference is online because this way it may be available for more people, however, we would like to feel the proximity of relations like during face to face meetings – as far as it is possible.

Save the date on March 15th 2023! The program of the conference is as follows:

  • 10 a.m. CET – online lessons in Polish led by BIA experts for students ( aged 6-9 and 10-14)
  • 3 p.m. CET – Edustories – talks about multicultural surroundings, disinformation and digital well being followed by online workshops (both available in Polish and in English)
  • 6.30 p.m. CET – a quiz in which 2 teams of influencers will confront each other in a game full of questions and tasks about the internet and situations that we face using technology (available in Polish and in English)
